Early mover in social media and digital care
At Careyn I was working early on the strategic possibilities of online and social media in healthcare. At a time when social media was still very much in the experimental phase for care organisations, I worked on social media strategy, social recruitment, target group segmentation and the link between online and offline client contact.
Even then, my interest went beyond communication alone. I was exploring how technology can genuinely add value for clients, staff and the organisation. Themes such as e-health, remote care, health dashboards, telemedicine, home automation and robotics were already on the agenda, as were the business case and acceptance of care innovation.
In 2012 I was interviewed on this as marketing and internet strategist at Careyn. Read the interview (in Dutch) Social in de zorg: 'Beter 100 volgers dan 1000 likers' (opens in new window).
